MEMORIAL DAY POEM - Death Becomes You

I'm dead - my spirit lives on
I live in my grave six feet under
Roll over with the break of thunder
I think - I meditate
I instill thoughts in your head
My will - I contemplated
I did my best instead
Remember me - memories on your mind
What did I impress upon you
What I perceive , the talk I hear
My shadows of reflections you do not fear
Respect - Do you respect the dead
I sit - I ponder , I lay listening silently
Again in my grave - I subliminally suggest
I rest at peace and put it to the test
Each moment I bear, I draw conclusion
I'm alive knowing in my heart
When death overwhelms me, I see an illusion
I see imagery - images I impress
In your mind - my body will find
Then when I die - I have expectations
Thus respecting the truth of revelations
Life after death - I'll see the heavenly skies
And in my casket , I 'll hear your breath
Keeping my spirits clever and ever so wise...
Yes this I see that I am dead
And truth be known I visualize
I'll look down on earth from the heavenly skies
Hence! I reckon you will see me in my death
And when you look to the heavens still I will contemplate
And you will face me too at the Golden Gate..
