OVERWHELMED

Today - I woke , I see no light
The tunnel overwhelmed me
I recollect the visions in my sight
I sort through my life, at wits end
I challenge the inevitable
Doomed I am in despair
Looking around me
Responsibilities endless, everywhere
Listing the significant chores
My life it is on hold
I am very busy and I ponder
The chore is clear
Digging in - I start
It's all in a day's work
I fret
The deadlines add up
I grab my coffee
Whoa is me!
The poker face, I develop
I stare at it all
It's dawn
I'll make it through
Today
It's my day off
Wow
I ponder at my thought
How did it all add up?
For a long time
I'll be sipping that cup..
